Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on market entry/exit strategies, portfolio management, real estate transactions, ESG initiatives, and AI driven investment tools.

Main Achievements

  • Advising two (US/UK) investors on German market entry, transaction, debt structuring and asset management.

  • Optimising their tax and legal framework with specialised law / tax firms.

  • Supporting a Belgian hedge fund on the disposition of three non-core logistic assets, OpCo/PropCo & portfolio wind-down and market exit.

  • Developed and implemented an AI-driven investment tool to improve the decission making process and underwriting of a global logistics developer/portfolio holder.

  • Creating, implementing, and executing the real estate strategy, business plan and budget.

  • Identifying suitable real estate investments throughout the DACH region.

  • Setting up a tax efficient structure, controlling and portfolio monitoring system.

  • Implementing the asset- and property management structure.

  • Created a viable re-positioning strategy for a 134k sqm mixed-use asset

Oxford Properties - Head of Germany

  • Implementing and executing on German strategy.

  • Establishing German HQ in Berlin, hiring and managing staff.

  • Initiating asset repositioning of key assets.

  • Acquisition of Treptowers Berlin (€240m).

  • Repositioning of landmark assets (Pollux & Messeturm Frankfurt, Herzogenterrassen, Düsseldorf).

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading VALAD Germany’s light Industrial & Logistic funds.

  • P&L performance responsibility.

  • Sourcing portfolios, JV partners, and workout mandates.

  • Heading the team of 37 staff.

  • Expanded AUM by €380m to €900m in 2014.

  • Created and managed the acquisitions for the €1bn VEDF fund with Blackstone & ADIC - Abu Dhabi Investment Council.

  • Heading the Fund Management of the Alpha German Property Income Trust.
